The DisplayPort interface connects the PC or notebook with TFT monitors or plasma / LCD TVs that have a corresponding interface
Note / Please note:
In general, all DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI cables and/or passive adapters are monodirectional, i.e. they only work in the DP to HDMI (monitor) direction.
Technical background: The DisplayPort interface can output an HDMI signal. However, no DisplayPort signal is present at an HDMI port.
The latter type of signal conversion is only possible with an active converter (signal converter).
