Differences to the Swiss plug
Although the BRA 3pin type N plug is similar to the J-type used in Switzerland, it is not compatible with it due to a number of differences. The distance of the earthing pin from the centre line is 3 mm instead of 5 mm, the pin diameter is 4.5 mm instead of 4 mm and the outer conductor is standardised on the left instead of the right in IEC 60906-1.
